How important is an AD anyway?

Only reason I have any clue about this is I'm a Mercer season ticket holder. They jumped from D-III up SoCon out of the blue when those schools bolted.

Really don't mean to denigrate Chattanooga. What they're doing in football and basketball right now is still impressive.

They've always been great at basketball, they are a basketball school. They honored the '77 national championship team last week.

Softball and wrestling, they do well in both. Play P5 teams constantly and more than hold their own.

20 years later lets devalue an undefeated, national title season. Riiiiiight.

I am not looking for an endless debate either on the issue but the one thing Fulmer consistently gets lauded for on here( and rightly so, I'll give the man his due for winning it) is winning the '98 title.

Not sure what part of the statement in bold eluded you but I'll post it again.

The point I made that you ignored and twisted into "devaluing" the title is the fact that, without the Arkansas win which hinged on Stoerner's fumble, that title very likely does not happen.

Oh yeah, his biggest claim to fame on the football field is a Clint Stoerner fumble.
