How hard will it be

Enough with the douchebag comments. Its perfectly ok to want Dooley to get canned and still want to watch the team play each Saturday.

I accidentally liked your comment, but since youre a shimmering white knight you deserve it.

I imagine every alum will continue to suport team and school, every donor and every season ticket holder that requires a donation [or lose priority] will continue to support the team. Some levels of sidewalk fans like those who rarely if ever actually go to games will only provide mouth service and head banging. Some who have purchased season tickets w/o a donation will drop out. Some who go to a game if someone offers them a ticket will not go but the CORE fan will ALWAYS support the team regardless of the coaching staff in place. To me, as an alum - every trip to Neyland is magical and every trip back to campus is a reminder of a great 4 yr period of my life.

so,alums, people that make donations and season ticket holders are the only real fans?

don't know if serious

I won't plan my Saturdays around it if he is back. More to life than football and that is even more true when we are losing.

Some fake @ss fans out there. I hope Dooley is back just so some of these doucers are gone.

Shouldn't you be over on the UF forum? :ermm: Anybody who would want him back has got to be a fan of another team...Either that or they just love losing...Making them LOSERS!

I wont spend 50-100 dollars on a ticket to watch the team next year. But ill watch the games that are on cbs or espn. No ppv's to see us barely beat a team like akron

to show Tennessee support next year if Derek Dooley returns as head coach in 2013?

I won't spend a dime on the team if he is back.

I've had tickets since the 70s and been going since the 60s. had 14 tickets since early 90s. I don't plan on going anywhere. this is my hobby, following the big orange.

it will get better. always takes time to rebuild and we are in that cycle. everyone stopping going only slows the rebuild down, doesn't speed it up.

but people have to make thier own decisions. I've sat through worse..

What happened to you, Fade?

Doyle, my friend, look at it this way. I want Dools gone more than anybody. But, if he returns, Im still going to watch every game because what else wuld I do? Pout and not watch because of Dooley? I just love UT football too much to do that.

I will watch every game and hope Tennessee wins them all. I will just choose to do it from Arizona alot more often if Dooley is still coach. If he is, the AD has decided winning is not as important any longer. I saw a thread talking about how Vandy was easing up on their standards to get players into school and UT was making it harder. Maybe we are about to switch places. I guess knowing we are not supposed to win will make losing alot easier going forward. We'll see how it plays out.

I agree with watching and supporting the team but I will do it from my couch. There is no way that I spend another dime on anything UT related as long as Dooley is there. The product that he puts on the field just does not justify the cash out of my pocket to drive six hours. That is just me and to each his own.

If DD comes back, I'm still gonna watch every freakin play of every game because I love this team more than I love any dead beat coach. What's wrong with you people?

Coming from the same guy who started a thread earlier this week admitting that he wished UT would lose some games. The better question is what is wrong with you!? Lol

It would be extremely hard. You think about the money everyone spends on tickets, concessions, gear, etc. and the product we are getting back is poor. I'd still support TN no matter what but you lose the fanbase in a town like this and you are asking for big trouble. Dooley's lost the fanbase. If he is brought back it would be a bigger hit in the finances for the AD than this year because fan apathy is at a pretty high level. The powers-that-be have to do this before things start spiraling out of of control. We have tradition, money and program perception to worry about and that's why things have to move forward.

There's a word for you: bandwagon fan.

We don't need you, or want you.
