That's what Bob kesling said on the radio. I thought it sounded weird to, but that's what he said bussed to Dayton per ncaa rules.

Do they stop in Knoxville then, or go straight to Raleigh?

(Just noticed that's going to pretty much be two home games in a row for Duke if they beat Mercer.)

You've got to go back a long time when NC didn't host some part of the tournament.

I'm pretty sure UT played Louisville in 2008 in Charlotte in a Sweet 16 game when they got smoked.

Didn't UT play Michigan in Charlotte in 2011?

I didn't hear anything more than that, was listening for interviews not a big fan of kesling.

Yeah but I mean, Raleigh is just under half an hour from Durham; they share an airport.

I am less familiar with the tournament's history though; do Duke/UNC (in their better years) generally get opening games as close to home as this?

This question is a few hours old but I don't see anyone answering it.

The answer is yes. They get to play this close to home A LOT.
