How Far Do We Drop

With Houston losing, and us losing to a higher-ranked team in double OT, we honestly only need to slide one spot to 10 at most...but we all know that's not what will happen.

Top 10 teams don't turn the ball over 7 times, sorry. We should drop to 15-18 range

Should not be more than 2-3 spots in my opinion, I'm extremely impressed with Tennessee. You all should also feel good about the future, you've got some young guys getting some big time meaningful SEC experience. What UT is doing without JRM, Sutton, Hurd, Kirkland, etc is damn impressive.

We shouldnt drop more than that but watch what happens. Heck, we dropped almost 9 spots after a win over a decent opponent. Georgia squeaks by Nicholls and bumps up a few spots. Now that we actually lost?

Wrong. Any team can do that. If you actually think there are 15-18 teams better than Tennessee then name them and provide evidence supporting your claim.

15 or so.

Take a look at the individual voters and how they have voted in the previous weeks. There's a core group that consistently rank us 5+ spots lower than everyone else. These same fools have recently voted 2 loss Ole Miss and OK ahead of us...

SO yeah, we'll drop 6-7 spots...

Looking at how other teams that have lost to other top 10 teams - the drop should be no more than 4. The two more recent that lost close games the drop was 3 and 4. Stanford had a big drop but they got blown out by Washington.

You don't lose in double OT to the 8th ranked team at their place and drop into the lower teens.

Houston losing to Navy is going to factor into this as will however Miami - FSU ends up.

Depends on what the AP writers saw. If they changed channel at 3rd quarter, we'll drop 6 to 8 spots. If they watched the whole game, maybe the Vols stay around 12th or so.
