How exactly would one get season tickets?

Isn't there a waiting list? I would certainly think so. I mean, my god, this IS Tennessee Football!
As the youngsters have pointed out earlier, a quick trip to UTsports.com will answer any question. Of course, one must be able to read and understand the information supplied.

Oh, I don't know, maybe because I have been to Neyland Stadium before and there's a beautiful thing called the internet. Yeah, I am able to travel, you should try it.

You don't need the VASF or packages to go to Neyland. In addition, the VASF will not pop up on the internet unless you search for it. Something a casual teenage fan from So Cal wouldn’t be doing. Nice try to deflect.

Duh, but if you notice there are advertisements for the VASF when you attend a UT game.
Why would I not search for something that peaked my interest?
Nice try.

I actually just finalized purchasing my season tickets today (XX-5 row 10). They allowed me to utilize the young alumni deal which makes the donation for the Plateau membership (usually $500) only $100 for the first year, 200 for the second, and so on up to 500. I graduated in 2005, but they allowed me to utilize it anyways (you are supposed to only be able to get it if you graduated in the last three years).

Make sure that when you donate, call and tell them that you want to go ahead and purchase your tickets also (they were $720 + 35, for handling fees, for two tickets). I was sent my donation in about a month ago and they told me that someone would call within three weeks about what seats were available. No one called, so I ended up calling the office and the guy that answer told me that I should have already put my money down for the tickets so that i would have been assured of getting them...

Anyways, long story short - they are available, just don't listen to anyone that tells you that you have to wait three weeks to get the tickets after you donate; buy them as soon as possible after you donate.

... This is a bit ridiculous. He obviously knows how to use the internet, and google.

So in the 1 minute between the OP and his response he has time to use the Google, read the info, and respond. Yeah sure. Do a Google search on University of Tennessee Season Tickets and see how long it takes you to decipher all of that.

It's really not that hard. Especially if he already knew UTSports.com. I just find it a bit ridiculous that you are harassing this kid for no real reason. It's the internet. If he doesn't happen to be from Southern Cal then who really gives a flying crap? No one.

You are grasping for straws. How do you know, considering the fact that I have been to Neyland, that I didn't google it before then?

I have attended every game for 5+ years and never noticed a VASF advertisement. Not saying that they aren’t there but with everything else 100,000+ people, cheerleaders, coeds, football game, band, etc, my interest were elsewhere. I don’t see a teenage casual fan from So Cal finding the VASF exciting. But hey, that’s just me.

I can vouch for them announcing VASF stuff at basketball games. Probably do it at football too, but I could be wrong.

Buy them off the streets. You can get into just about any game for below face value, usually sitting in the lower level. You will usually come out a lot cheaper that way.

I had season tickets a few years ago, and scalped tickets for every game the next year and saved about $150 bucks.

I've been sitting in the same seats since 1993. It's nice being familiar with those sitting around you (if you like them) and seeing the same big orange faces every fall. I don't think bickering about googling is helping the OP any though. I call this match a draw...now you guys can stop it. Can you tell I've got a 9 year old, lol.

They absolutely advertise for the Volunteer Athletic Scholarship Fund at the games, I've known about it as long as I can remember.

What are you guys actually arguing about anyways?
