How does student section seating work?

Question for those who might know. How is seating for the student section structured? I am going to make it down for the SC game and prefer to be rowdy and loud, and would rather join the students in doing so than sit in my seat. Is the seating there assigned and can I just get a ticket for somewhere else and go in there and go crazy? Thanks!

You need a student ID and the seats are assigned.

Or just get out of your seat and walk over to the student section once the game starts and run the risk of getting thrown out for not having a ticket.

People always come into the student section. They don't check once you get there, just make sure that you don't take someone else's seat, because it gets scrappy and you'll probably get an usher called on you.

Well you can just take a empty seat, sit down, and enjoy the game. If anybody calls on you, just ask them share a little bit seat with them. If he/she is a a$$hole(which I never met), I guess you just leave and find another one.

I know a few years ago they started selling off unused student tickets off to the public for general use. Do they still do this?

I hope there is no one sitting in the student section. When I was there I am sure not all those people were in their assigned seats. I didn't mind but no one got removed for it.

i go sit with friends in the student section all the time. don't even worry about it.
