How does Neyland Stadium compare?

Well, you should be fine now since you've been in section G all those times. The student section is moving to the West side of the stadium now so that if you go to a game with Hump or me, you'll be able to sit and stand at the appropriate moments.

Well, that's a plus. Now to just make the 9-10 hour drive up there.

I was in the stands at Ohio State vs. Michigan a couple years back when they were #1 and #2. As big as that game is and the fact it was #1/#2 that stadium was still not even close to a SEC game in Neyland Stadium. I was laughing when the Michigan offense came on to the field for the first time and the Luckeye crowd "Got Loud". I told my buddy to come to a game down here and he did. I still quote him to this day talking about SEC vs. Big 10 debates when he said, "I hear about it but until you actually are in attendance you don't realize. I still support the Big 10 but it just isn't close to you guys!!!!"

I have been to...
Ohio State, Florida, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Auburn, Miami, UGA, Ole Miss, Washington, LSU, Michigan, South Carolina, Clemson and still nothing beats a Saturday in Neyland.

outstanding post!

I didn't mean to sound like I don't enjoy my Saturdays in Neyland, because I will miss those times tremendously now that I'm in red stick. I just don't have much experience outside of Neyland, so I don't have a good comparison.

You can tell me to sit down and I will respectfully say hell no.

And I'll respectfully mow you down in my wheelchair, or with crutches or cane. I might not be the most mobile individual, but I sure as hell can out-yell almost anyone in the stadium. I expect to see the game I paid to see, not the sweaty back of some underbathed and/or overliquored person who can't even keep their balance. Viva le ADA!

i was in blacksburg in 06 for tech and clemson, and still is the loudest stadium i have ever been in. I have only been to Neyland for a few Uk games and SC game in 07. The SC game was loud but not like this.

This wont be very practical in Neyland but what the Seattle Sounders of MLS did is they divided Seahawks stadium into sections for family friendly sections and drunk/raise hell sections and sections that are a little of both prob impractical at Neyland because people wont want to lose their season tickets they have had forever but it would solve a lot of peoples complaints if there was an area of the stadium the general public could buy tickets for were the same behavior seen in the student section is acceptable maybe something for the young alumni groups to look into
