I say we move to a 3-4, especially with the shortage on the D-line. Also, I'm willing to bet GW is around 240...not 226.

94 Wes Brown | 6-4, 256, Jr., 2V
84 Chris Walker | 6-3, 230, So., 1V

91 Robert Ayers | 6-3, 270, Sr., 3V
90 Ben Martin | 6-3, 240, So., 1V
86 Willie Bohannon | 6-2, 235, Fr., HS

98 Demonte Bolden | 6-6, 290, Sr., 3V
95 Walter Fisher | 6-3, 275, Sr., 3V
58 Donald Langley | 6-2, 290, Fr., RS
52 Victor Thomas | 6-4, 270, So., SQ

55 Dan Williams | 6-3, 310, Jr., 2V
95 Walter Fisher | 6-3, 275, Sr., 3V
52 Victor Thomas | 6-4, 270, So., SQ

20 Nevin McKenzie | 6-2, 215, Sr., 1V
48 Adam Myers-White | 6-2, 215, Sr., 3V
43 Savion Frazier | 6-2, 210, So., 1V

5 Rico McCoy | 6-1, 215, Jr., 2V
57 Gerald Williams | 6-4, 226, So., TR
42 LaMarcus Thompson | 6-1, 220, So., 1V

35 Ellix Wilson | 5-10, 225, Sr., 3V
56 Nick Reveiz | 5-10, 225, So., 1V
57 Gerald Williams | 6-4, 226, So., TR
40 Chris Donald | 6-1, 225, Fr., RS

Nope, no 3-4. We don't have the NT to run it... and Chavis has not shown any real inclination towards running it.

Not like that. UT will probably play a 3 man front some anyway. GW gives more depth at MLB. While I love the Reviez story, I loved the Parrish story too. Williams has the size and speed that both Wilson and Reviez lack. Hopefully, he'll rub off on Donald who has about the same measurables.

GW also adds depth at DE. Because of that, they can afford to slide Ayers or Brown inside on passing downs... or maybe even both. A front of Martin/Walker, Brown, Ayers, and Williams on passing downs would be virtually unstoppable for most OL's. The twists and stunts they could run would be limitless.

The point of this thread is GW is going to bump somebody and move into a starting role...Who is most likely to get bumped?

Remember the game Chavis moved the D-line continously (Henderson, Haynesworth, et.al.) without setting before the ball was snapped?

...we all knew this would happen
dude, we're not going to a 3-4. We don't have the DT's to do it and it completely changes the responsibilities of the entire front seven. Every defender we have has spent his entire career prepping for the 4-3. Why would we change that at this point?

Maybe so...Let's get back to my original question...GW will start...when?...where?...and how does this change the Defense..."in your opinion" as none of us know the facts of what Chavis might do.

I don't think that Gerald Williams will be starting anywhere on Monday. I think that he will see snaps at DE in long passing downs at UCLA. He could see some time at MLB at UCLA, but I would expect that to come more by UAB...with perhaps a move of Wilson to SLB with Williams starting at MLB if McKenzie/AMW don't look so great at UCLA and Williams practices well.

I was thinking the same thing...GW at MLB and slide Rico out to bump McKenzie
