How does Baylor always find a good coach

Easy. They let smart people pick the coach and that is probably the AD. At UT up until Heupel, the Haslam faction basically picked Kiffin, Dooley, and Ok’d Botch. Fulmer picked Pruitt and the rest is history.

I agree with the Corral part. But they hit on coaches way more often then we do. Even if you want to poop on this guy. Rhule and Briles were home runs. We have been best with 9 wins under Butch.

Baylor is notorious for playing the weakest OOC schedule the last 20 years. Check it out yourself. Duke is the only P5 team they played in a decade and they lost those games

I wish Tennessee was able to play schedules like this. Even then their record the previous 5-6 seasons isn’t that much better than ours

But you are ok with judging him just on one good year? I mean the sample size is still really small.

He very well might turn out to be ok but it’s not like he took over a ****** program.

Briles did and Rhule did. Why can Baylor, a nobody in the grand scheme of things make good hires, and we have been lost for 20 years?

I remember him being a good coach when he was at LSU. Don’t know how that translates (or will) annually in the future.
It was, however, EXTREMELY gratifying to see Kiffin and Ole Miss get their comeuppance at the hands of his team…

Actually Haslam supported getting Patterson over Kiffen. Hamilton screwed it up.

Dooley was brought in on the fly after Kiffen left. It was a rushed hire.

Yeah, he OKed Jones after Hart got road weary.

But it is pretty clear Haslam supported Schiano.



But yeah, Baylor has been a little better organized. Except on hiring Ken Starr. That is why Art Briles is off to parts unknown.

Why is Penn State despised by most fans for the sexual attacks but Baylor seems to get a pass for sexual attacks?

I like most around don't care for Lane but I noticed in the ncaa bowl thread most were pulling for Baylor. How soon you forget.

I was wondering where they find their QBs/WRs. That freshman that came in for Corral was winging it.
