How do you feel at this point about our football team...

We will win the NC next year. Who cares if Tebow stays, he blows. UGAs coached by Helen Hunt. Spurrier needs to retire to Florida, and Alabama's season was a fluke. We have Rod Wilks!

Vols Dynasty!!!!!!!!!

:dance2: :dance2: :dance2: :dance2:
Wow! That koolaid has some extra punch this morning, but your right. I forgot we have rod wilks. I'm feeling back to back NC's! Vols dynasty baby!

The interesting thing about this season imo is if CLK actually opens up all positions to competition as he says to see who emerges as the playmakers and who becomes surprise performers. I was glad to hear that he is taking back the prison from the prisoners maybe the days of players telling the head coach " get the f out of my face" even if it is a starter will be dealt with sternly. If there are punishments for false starts and delay of game and other dumb penalties you will also see them decrease. Running the steps for each penalty might be a deterent

I am more excited about Tennessee football than I have been in a long time. And I don't EVER remember enjoying an off season like I am this one.

I think this sums up my feelings pretty well. I am very excited to see what the next several weeks hold for us and even more excited to see what happens once we strap on the pads....

can we beat florida and bama next year? i know we have the talent if we get a QB, and it seems as if UT could have the coaching staff to get it done, so could it be possible?

Its possible, but not likely we beat either. The thought of three losses in a row to bama makes my blood boil though.

It would be nice to exceed expectations in the first year. Beating either of those teams in year one would be just that.

we are moving in the right direction. I just hope that people don't boo if we're not national champs next year.

Win?

I have forgotten what that is like. I just want to compete with them. I don't know what was going on with our team forthe past 3-4 years but I really feel like it will take a while to right the ship. It seems like the morale is very low (for the players) and the talent is pretty far below standard. We aren't winning recruiting battles anymore, we have no 5 star playmakers that want to be VOLS. Our reputation is in the gutter.

There is excitement for the fans but I think it is mainly because we know that this is the first real cleaning house we have done in like 40 years.

I think it is simply too early to judge Kiffin. I like what he has to say but those are just words.
I don't really understand the Boyd thing.

We will know a lot more after the spring practices begin.

After reading all the internet chatter, I'm waiting on the academic casualties before I say anything else. Word around town is that 8-10 are on shaky ground.

I'm pretty pleased. I was sold on him at first, but after pulling the QB scholarships, I was scratching my head a little. I understood that he felt neither Boyd nor Petty looked like a fit in his system, but still, we don't have anyone who really is, at this point (No coleman references please, this isn't Stump on Sports or Talkback with Dr. B, and we really haven't seen if he will be worth a flip)

Of course, Denver had to go and fire Shanahan today, which would make me second guess any hire decision if we could've known that HE'D be on the market.

I'm second guessing nothing now. We have Kiffin and that's the only coach I'm concentrating on right now.

he didn't pull the boyds or pettys scholarships he just told them that they most likely wouldnt fit his offensive system. he still said that he would honor the scholarships though
