Can't go anywhere but up can we? It will take a few years to really see what the future might hold. For this instance right now I think we are going to be very happy with CLK and the wins coming our way.

and it's future with Lane and Co.??

I'll give my final seal of approval after I see the whole staff. But if it is as good as what I think it can be...I will give it two thumbs up.

It's just a complete 180 to the crap we have heard about no one would want to come to UT to coach...CLK is making us relevant, and will eventually restore excitement again. IMO

Looks like he will bring in the best staff we could have gotten. Lane is unproven and needs a chance, anybody that can make a few phone calls and bring this in is worth a shot. 80

If the staff fills out as planned 85-90.

So far I like the direction the program is headed. Nice to see some discipline being enforced. Also like the idea of an open competion on the field this spring for playing time.

I am excited....I agree it's nice to see discipline enforced. That was the problem last year when game after game we saw the same crap with false starts, personal fouls, jumping offsides which kept drives alive. All those things factor into discipline. I think in 2009 we will see a very mature, well coached football team that may not win every game but will give one heckuva effort

not to mention the out-of-shape athletes over the past few years.

good and bad. i think he handled the qb situation TERRIBLY!! maybe a lil too cocky to think he can turn it around. no way do u sway a top qb recruit to not come to tennessee. its not like were very sound in that area. his staff i like so far with the exception of reeves. terrible qb play by scarolina for 10 plus years already. i really dont know, i wish him and the team the best, but it seems like hes making it hard on himself already. not so sure about this recruiting class. i liked it alot more before fulmer left. if he can get a playmaking receiver(stokes is no sure bet) and somebody to come in immediately at the dt and play next to dan williams we could be allright. signing day will tell alot about the direction of this team.

expecting him to come grab a top QB in a month is a little crazy. He will go grab one next year when the field is level and he's not playing catch up

we had a top qb prospect lined up already. he wanted to come to tennessee. what about this open competition. boyd could have came and tried to earn his spot. if it didnt happen he could have redshirted and transfered. this has been kiffins biggest mistake to this point along with the reeves hiring. u dont tell a top shelf qb no thanks when ur coming off a season where the qb play was horrendous.

Next season has to be better than 5-7 maybe we will be better on both sides of the ball and win a lot of games over the next few years I live in alabama and had to listen to all the crap from bama fans cant wait to beat them GO VOLS

I think spurrier had more to do with the qb situation at south carolina than reeves did. I watched their games this year and it seemed like spurrier would never leave a qb in there long enough for them to gain confidence. Every time carolina had the ball he would put a different qb in there and then yell at them when they went three and out. Reeves was at carolina to do the recruiting he just had the title of qb coach/recruiting coordinator. JMO

Marketing standpoint this hire was a gem.... Money should be flowing into the athletic department.

Coaching is where it will really be graded though?

Kiffin did the right thing and allowed Boyd to go play somewhere he fit better. Having to transfer would waste his avail playing time in college and is worthless to both Boyd and to UT. CLK is the head man and the QB was not one he wanted to build a team around

I am more excited about Tennessee football than I have been in a long time. And I don't EVER remember enjoying an off season like I am this one.

I'll feel better about our team when we start winning some of the recruiting battles for those big nasty's again. Not looking good again as far as that goes.

The staff, i feel good about. Lane has said all the right things and seems to have a plan. We'll just have to see where it takes us.

We will win the NC next year. Who cares if Tebow stays, he blows. UGAs coached by Helen Hunt. Spurrier needs to retire to Florida, and Alabama's season was a fluke. We have Rod Wilks!

Vols Dynasty!!!!!!!!!
