Has anyone ever won the SEC while replainc 3 of 4 starters in the secondary? 3 of them with no starting experience in the SEC? Seems like a big hurdle.
Back to the orginal question... I guessed 2005 UGA because I thought they had a lot of defensive guys drafted after the 2004 season. Do you have a better guess? Or maybe an actual correct answer? I figured you might know.
Johnson got the award for most improved defensive player in the spring. Last year, Wade got it I think. Wade did pretty good last year. DS should look something like this for Cal:
FS: Hefney
SS: Parrish/McKenzie
CB: Johnson
CB: Willingham
Berry will get a lot of playing time in that game.
i don't think there's any doubt that the new guys will get a lot more playing time than maybe was anticipated at their signing....starters? doubtful.....but i see plenty of snaps in their future.
this is going to be interesting......3 DB's in less than 12 calander months.......gone. how often does that happen(not counting early dparture or graduation)? and it wasn't like any of the three were scrubs.......
Don't know how hard it will be but Phil is on a 2-year timetable to win the SEC or move on. At least that's my interpretation of ADMH's public statements on the matter. No excuses.
