How did you change your blood color to orange?

I went to my first game when I was 6 weeks old. We beat UCLA 28-17 and went on to go 11-1 and finish 2nd in the nation back in 1970. I was born on the Friday before we beat Florida 38-7 of that same year...Stanley Morgan was my swimming coach and a good friend of my dads in 1974 and Now Mr. Morgan as well as my family and I reside in Memphis. Orange Blood runs true!

In 1993 David Palmer ran in a two point conversion to two tie us 17-17. Immediately following that play my older brother got out of his chair and angrily ran through the house punching stuff and screaming bammer obscenities for the rest of the day... It was at that moment when I learned about the passion for Tennessee football!

I was eight years old. It was the UF/UT 2001 game. I decided whoever won the game i would become a fan of. This was it. So now I thank God now everday for Travis Stephens and what he did that day. I have been obsessed ever since.

I cant remember the exact game. I just remember watching a game with dad, and there was the orange romping all over bama.. Everytime they scored my Dad got more and more excited. By the end of the game my dad was screaming and hollering... I was pretty young, but from that point on.. I was hooked on college ball. the only time I wavered was when some kid at Ole Miss Archie Manning caught my attention. I liked watching highlights of him ..

I have a picture of my grandmother and I the day I was brought home from the hospital.. I have at UT jersey on and a orange beanie with the old UT emblem... Guess it just kind of stuck.. Been a die hard my whole life.. It's all I've ever known..

Born & raised down the road in Sevier County. I'm another who was born on a Saturday afternoon when the Vols were playing (they beat Kentucky 21-7, 1944). First game I remember was on radio, Jimmy Wade at tailback as we beat Vandy 33-7 (some things never change, it seems). Jerry Hyde led the team with 8 receptions that year..
The first big game for me was '56, a tailback named Johnny Majors leading the #3-ranked Vols to a 6-0 win over #2-ranked Ga. Tech. It's been all orange since then.

I know where the "two strangers" are buried. I also once dated a girl that was "wild as a Minx", that makes me uniquely qualified to be a Vol. Other than that, I was born into it - I didn't realize there could be any other way?!

My dad was in the military so we lived all over the place. Mom was from middle Tennessee and Dad from Kansas. When I graduated high school, I was either going to KU or UT to get in state tuition. Decided on Tennessee sight unseen (I was living in England at the time) because I just watched the 85 Sugar Bowl and thought it might be cool to see the Vols play in person. What an understatment, I'll never forget my first time in Neylend Stadium. I watched the VOLS beat Iowa in a close one along with 90,000 of my closest friends. Bled orange ever since.

I can understand that. When I have wood to split, I usually wait til halftime of Tennessee/Florida game (be a Vol, swing a maul).

Both sides of my family are from Tennessee, but I was raised in Texas. We moved to Knoxville in summer 85 When I was 16. First game I remember seeing was Auburn when we shut Bo down. I was hooked. After that I watched or listened(Lord I miss John Ward) to every game. But my Blood turned orange during the Sugar Bowl. Still My favorite VOL team. If any of you guys on here happen to be a member of the 85 vols I would like to say thank you for the memories.:salute:
