Born and raised in the Orange Nation. Started going to games back in 98 and have been flippin bammers from the dark side to the orange side since i got married back in 06. All of my wifes family were bama fans until I took them to a game. I flipped 5 now!

Wow, i was actually a Florida and Nebraska fan growing up in the 90's. Joined the Marines right after high school in 2000, got discharged with reactive airway disease, got out, worked for about a year, went to Roane State, transferred to UT and my blood turned ORANGE. GO VOLS!

I became a fan back in 1990 Cotton Bowl in Dallas. I actually came to support the razorbacks since I was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas (30 minutes from Fayettville), but came out a Vol Fan. I am known as a trader at work, but at least I am enjoying it. :)

after my birth they pricked my toe to check my blood and the nurse freaks when she realizes my blood is orange. my dad, with a huge grin, just says its ok we're all born that way. my first game was a family trip to the 86 sugar bowl. i was 7. this is my earliest vol memory.

When I was in Junior High our football coach and the school paid for our team to go to a UT game against Vandy. I was 14 years old and have been a rabid Vol fan every since, and I'm 60 now. Love you Vols good or bad.

The first time I remember considering myself a Vol fan was the 86 Sugar Bowl. That is the first game I remember and I have loved the Vols ever since.

I was 10 at the time.

For me it was the 1985 team that got me on the band wagon and haven't gotten off it since!

Went to the Kickoff Classic in 87 with my dad at Giants Stadium vs. Iowa - great win, bartended at a sports bar about 5 years later and really started to follow them, hence I transferred from a state school to UT and been bleeding orange since.

I'm interested to know how people here became Vols fans. For me personally i came to the homecoming game in 97 when we played a ranked Wash St team. I hated UGA growing up in Atl. I met a beautiful coed with a pure white bulldog on the way to the game. This bulldog had a cape that said "UGA is white trash" and that makde up mind I was UT bound next near. How bout you guys?

I was born a Vol fan

Born on Saturday 9/14/1968 halftime of the UT vs.UGA game where Dewey Warren took a QB keeper in for the tie. I came out in Orange. As a kid I saw UT play USC with Marcus Alle, Ppitt with Tony Dorsett. I saw UT shut Bo Jackson down, made him quit in the 3rd quarter. I saw Jimmy Streater, Jimmy Noonan, Reggie White, Andy Kelly, Peyton Manning, Chuck Webb, Willie Gault, and many more UT greats play. But my all time favorite was when UT lead by Johnny Majors beat Bama for the first time in 11 years. convinced that was the cause of death for Bear Bryant.
