How did the Vols lose 2 / 5 star recruits from Tennessee. Tee Higgins & Jacoby Stevens. This is on the coaching staff. WE HAVE A DECENT CLASS SO FAR BUT WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO COMPETE WITH ALABAMA WITH 3 STAR RECRUITS. Look what happened at South Carolina & Vandy. Schools like Alabama, Florida & few more always get the best players and you can see the difference on the field..... Is Saban that good or just has the best players ?????? I think both, that combination is deadly. Not trying to be negative but the first thing Jones said when he arrived was to keep Tennessee players in Tennessee. He just lost 2/ 5 star players whom are within an hour of Knoxville. Until we can recruit better players we will be stuck in the middle and not on top... I don't have the answer but as a long time vol fan I don't see us getting any better than we are now.JMO

None of us regulars on the RF have contemplated these truly ground breaking points before.

Well.....neither of these guys went to Alabama, so where's your argument there? Stevens was never coming here with nothing short of a miracle. Tee played the staff. Relax a little bit. Neither of these kids have played a down of college ball yet.

Lol you RF Gurus need to stop getting your panties in a bunch bc someone wants to discuss something outside a recruits thread. If y'all didn't bog it down with personal conversation then maybe we would use it for info. Most ppl don't have time to comb through your jibberish and have more important things to do. Go back to your RF threads if you're just gonna complain here too

Schools like Florida who currently is ranked 8 spots behind us in the rankings? Good try Bobby. Crawl back into your hole until next January.

Multiple drafted WRS past 6 years

LSU is Defensive Back University
Also he is originally from there.

It's not because somebody wants to discuss something outside of a recruit's thread, it is because we have heard this same refrain about eleventy million times, most of the times in a the 3-star recruit threads, the Jacoby Stevens thread, the Tee Higgins thread, the recruiting football talk thread, the 5-star commitments threads (Trey Smith and Ty Chandler) and just about every other damned thread you would care to name.

I completely get this point 100%. My point is when ppl get p!ssed and complain that there are already threads that discuss a particular topic/recruit but that recruits thread has been hijacked for pages about nothing. And it's damn near impossible to get info out of some of them

Got it, and it can get frustrating in recruits' threads when there are pages and pages of personal arguments over information not even related to that recruit.

Then one can--shock--read the threads to get caught up. Though there will be tons of pointless filler, you will learn the answer you seek and probably get a chuckle or too on the way.

If one wishes to roll the dice on asking a question that they can with a single click and a touch of reading answer, then asking in the recruit's or the football talk thread will suffice. In the RF, we like the forum not being ****ted up with countless pointless threads.

This is a statement. It is a statement that could have been posted in either the Tee Higgins or Jacoby Stevens threads. There is no reason for a new thread to have been started just to make this statement.

Apparently the OP has no intention for a discussion why the young men made the decision of their future, to attend the college of their choice for whatever reason. It wasn't like they were not offered a scholarship to attend and play at UT.

Jacoby never really considered anyone but LSU, that one is not that big of a deal (plus we got Maleik Gray, a fringe 5 star). Losing out on Tee hurts, but we did have him committed at one point.

Jacoby has family in Louisiana. Notice no waver after they canned Miles. He was going there regardless. I like Ty Chandler anyway.
