How could I go about getting a UT player's autograph?

It might be different now, but Fulmer himself pushed away my jersey and pen from Manning's hands when he was back for the walk a few years ago. I'd try for the Orange and White game, after a practice or game, or try finding somebody on campus with connections.
Fulmer is an ass. Should've given him the Krispy Kreme handshake.

I've got a handful autographs. Best time I've gotten them are after the Vandy games in Nashville.

Obvious answer is that you need to track down the lady who was trying to sell the signed Reggie White memorabilia on here, and ask for pointers.

Run your car into his car in the Gibbs parking lot. Write him a settlement check. The check will have his signature on the back once he cashes it. This usually works....,or just wait around after a game with all the 8 year olds.

Or after the season go to the touchdown club luncheon. He should attend at least one. Finding out which one is the hard part

If you were a 'bama fan it would be easy... Go to the mall and purchase one while the players are signing.

I got a football signed for my father-in-law a few years back. I took the football to the McKenzie-Lawson center (where the indoor practice field is). I asked the lady at the front desk, and she directed me to another woman's office. This woman tagged my football with the names of everyone I wanted to sign it, and put my name and number down. She put the football in a room with a crap-ton of other items with similar tags on them.

In a few weeks, I got a phone call saying it was ready, and I just went and picked it up. Surprisingly very easy.

This was back in the 2006 time frame, so I don't know if this is still an option, but definitely worth a shot.

At Bama or Auburn all it takes is a new Escalade or Lexus.

It may be a little more difficult here at Tennessee.

Look up their address then google map them. Then follow them home from practice one day. When they aren't home use an unlocked window to gain entry. Hide out in the closet until the appropriate time to ask for an autograph.

In fairness to Fulmer, I'm sure this was because Manning wouldn't be able to make it to the stadium by Kickoff if he signed every bit of paraphenalia put in his face. Fulmer was ahrdly anti-autograph for fan support.

I personally saw Fulmer waste almost twenty to thirty minutes of his personal time at a restaurant one time to sign an autograph for a young boy. I say waste his time not because of the boy, but because of the boy's father.

The boy asked Fulmer if he would sign a football for him some time, and Fulmer said he' love to and asked if he could sign soemthing for him in the meantime. The Dad then said I'll be right back with a football in just a minute, and pulled out his car keys. Fulmer, and everyone sitting nearby (we were at the table behind tthe Fulmers) assumed the Dad was going to the car to get one they had with them while the boy waited with his mother. Instead, this redneck moron DROVE TO A FREAKING STORE, BOUGHT AN ORANGE AND WHITE FOOTBALL, AND THEN CAME BACK. We could tell because he pulled a brand new football in a box out of a plastic bag with the price tag still on it. Fulmer was very gracious, even though he and his wife had finished his meal and were waiting on the check before the boy came and asked for the signature. He signed the football for the boy very nicely, and talked to him for a few minutes after sigining it, told him to root for the Vols, but most importantly work hard in school because football in no guarantee for anyone no matter how talented someone is.

We all though Fulmer should have signed something that was there and left, instead of waiting on the inconsiderate father. Understandably, he didn't, since I'm sure this boy (who might have been 8) wouldn't have understood why Fulmer didn't wait on the football his father said he'd be right back with. Mind you, had this process started before Fulmer ate, it would have been a nice story. Fulmer would have enjoyed his dinner, signed the football, and left at his lesiure. However, Fulmer and wife had clearly finished eating and had just asked the waitress for the check when this boy's family came in and saw him. He waited at least 20 minutes on this boy's father to return.

...He waited at least 20 minutes on this boy's father to return.

I really liked this story. Like I said before, they put my football in a room literally packed to the ceiling with stuff for Fulmer and other players to autograph. The woman told me he spent about an hour a day signing things, so for him to get my football in as little time as a couple of weeks, went a long way for me.

Now don't get me wrong, I agree it was time for change and for Fulmer to step aside, but I in no way question the man's integrity, loyalty, or dedication to the University and its fans.

This seems like its worth a shot. Ill try a few of these things and fill you all in. If I get an autograph, ill post pics on this thread.

How did you find this thread Franklin? This was before the beer bottle incident or there would have been posts about finding a balcony and bait it with beer bottles in order to get Bray's autograph.
