How can the season be salvaged?

Wow . . . This is a depressing year. I have no hope -NONE - that we will even make a bowl game right now.

I was so hyped for a good year. Not expecting an SEC East championship, but I thought that we had actually turned that proverbial corner. Now, I don't think we can even see the corner from where we are.

Usually stay positive on here, but realistically looking at the rest of our schedule, I find it difficult to get to 6 wins unless something drastically changes.

You could start pulling for a different team, one that's doing well and stop playing the loyal sports fanatic. There's lots of teams playing good ball. Why you have to stick with a loser? If you enjoy the game, then pick a team you enjoy watching. A fair-weather fan makes much more sense than being loyal to a loser.

We need people with experience and bleed orange at the top! Fire Hart immediately and hire Fulmer to straighten out this mess! New ad, new offensive coordinator, new defensive coordinator, a fresh breath of air! Take out the garbage! Put Butch on leash fire his arse if he doesn't turn this program around next year! Time to make adjustments!! Volnation is on the warpath! Rightfully so!

We arent going to win the East this year. If that's everyone's definition then the season is "over." However, we can still get to 8 wins if we win all of our games after Alabama. That's counting the bowl game. It would mean finishing the season with 6 straight wins. Now I'm sure nobody believes that can happen right now. But there's a lot of season left and if we can figure some things out in the next 3 weeks then we have a shot. We need fans to stop screaming "Bewwww! fahr Butch Jownes and Dayve Hawart!" And ride it out.

I agree with changing up the O line and LB spots. We need to do that this week!

I said 8 wins not 6. 8 wins means we only lose 2 more games and win 6. It is possible is all that I'm saying. That would mean 7 wins in the regular season. I think we can beat SC, North TX, Mizzou, KY and Vandy (sorry if out of order). The talent is there. I think everyone got too cool for school when we were the trendy pick to win the East this year. Doesn't mean we are bad. That would be 4 conference wins! How many did Dooley have?

Changing personnel would be like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

They would still be going out and running a one dimensional, predictable offense and a defense that seems to get neutered on every 3rd/4th and long play.

The talent is there to beat Arkansas too. The problem is that the coaching isn't. I would love to think we will win all of those games. Based on what I've seen so far I no longer believe we will.

Exactly! The train has already derailed y'all. Time to get rid of our cowardly maniac of a coach while we can without a buyout thanks to his temper in practice. Tape Hart's mouth shut and tell the big boosters to come right on in with their money and hire a real coach that the Vols deserve. We were so close with Gruden!

Seasons over in October. Same thing every year and will be the same next year. Playing for a lame ass bowl game.. Who cares.
