I don't understand...

They complain about tickets not being sold out. I go to the uttix website and I can't find anyway to buy tickets for games.. Of course people can't buy tickets if there is no way to access them. I will pay face value, but not 300 off of a stubhub or something.

If you have to buy a minipack to get tickets then I guess buffalo wild wings will have to do.

My guess is that they are still floating season tickets out there and those are considered unsold tickets, on top of the minipack tickets.

What sucks is all of the mini-pack tickets are upper deck or I would have bought some a long time ago. I am just going to wait until game day for mine.

The atmosphere at Neyland has turned from a crazy football crowd, to a social gathering for the alumni. Most of the people are just there because they consider it a a party, instead of a football game. Maybe if Dooley wins, we can get back some of the attitude we used to have. Until then, we are going to have the Muffy's of East Tennessee convincing their husbands to just watch the game from their tailgates or go shopping at Turkey Creek instead. Different crowd from 10 years ago, IMO.

Neyland has been dead for awhile now...see a lot of people sitting on their hands.

Agreed. Well, I'll do everything in my power to make some noise for the Florida game.

Last game I went to the people around me were looking at me like I was crazy, I was pretty mild that day...seems like everyone was just sitting there quietly...watch from your TV if that is how you are going to act...2 cents, take it or leave it.

I agree. Too many people forget the simple things that help the home team win, and the big one is noise, and the second one is intimidation. We should all be standing outside the other's team bus booing and hissing when they get off, IMO.

The point of the thread is this..

I want football tickets. I want to pay face value for my tickets from the ticket office but am unable to do so. I don't see a way to buy any of the good game tickets from the ticket office.

This is why we do not buy tickets.. we have no access to them. I have money.. let me spend it.

single game tickets will go on sale in August. they are still marketing season or mini-season packages.

Prices will be as follows for single game tickets I asked this week:

UT-Martin and UAB $40 each
Kentucky - $50
Oregon and Ole Miss - $60
FLorida and Bama - $70

can't speak for univ of tenn tix, but seasons ticket packages at florida have exceeded nfl prices a long time ago.

it's not the cost of the ticket itself, but the booster contribution that gets ya.

people complain about cost, but cost only is a factor for the university when people stop paying it. apparently, that has begun to happen at tennessee.

Winning brings excitment! The TV deal, economy and bad football (the last couple of years) will do that to any program. I used to have to go to the games if I wanted to see them, now every game is on TV and the way we have been playing it makes it a tougher decision. Perhaps they need to do away with the VASF and allow season ticket purchase without the donation. They are getting their donations from ESPN/CBS. Make the season tics more accessable to normal fanbase and would have no problem filling seats. V,B!!!

I had great lower level seats last year and only donated $250. Most people would rather just complain "oh, the donation is so high, no wonder we can't sell out" rather than actually look into it, and find that it's actually much more affordable than they thought.
