How can anyone find this acceptable?

I know there is nothing we can do but we have all been fooled. The only difference between this year and last year is we lose in heartbreaking fashion as opposed to getting creamed.

Can't protect a lead, can't make a comeback. Hope for 6-6 and maybe a bid to the no one cares bowl.

Why should we expect next year to be any different? Players a little older but they have regressed from last year to this year.

This is pathetic and everyone knows it. I guess this is the "new" Tennessee, same as the "old" Tennessee. Old as in Dooley.

Must get an elite coach one day or this is the norm.

Oh they'll be on here...calling you a negavol and a band wagon fan and a fair weather fan etc...I'm done! I feel bad for Butch cause he's a good guy but he's got to go at the end of the year.

Absolute criminal that this guy was given an extension with a buyout on the level of Les Miles and then was allowed to turn around and hire Debord.

Watching the Gator Bowl you could tell that Iowa didn't want to be there and their coaching staff was just using it as an early spring game. Crazy to give him a raise for that.

Exactly. Consider the downside.

Look at how terrible UF is doing after sacking a 3 year loser.

The difference is that Muschamp didn't follow Kiffin, Dooley or Phil's buyout. You can't change coaches as often as Elizabeth Taylor changed husbands.

Yeah, he missed way too many tackles and dropped several passes.

Probably the biggest game of his career at UT and his team plays as flat and uninspired as possible.

Players miss tackles and drop passes every game.

Decent coaches find a way to minimize and recover from those players mistakes. Our coach roams the sidelines with his arms tucked in his armpits.

Pains me to say this, but the players won't believe anymore after tonight. Butch will be around another year but he is not the man. Way to much talent not used and way to much talent to lose these games. His only savior would be getting a top end offensive coordinator

Have to agree. The OC hire was wrong from the get go! Should have got a young up and coming hungry OC and let him call the plays like Clemson did a few years ago (Chad Morris). Too much talent on this team to be 2-3 even if they were heart breaking losses. Coaches at this level should know how to close out games and get the best players in a position to win the game. That hasn't happened. Should remove some of the OL and put in the freshmen now and let them take their lumps.

I have not been fooled one bit. I told everyone from the beginning this guy was a fraud and a clown. I got shouted down by the coach worshipers and their love of cult of personality. When has anyone that spouts cliches every sentence had any substance behind them? How do you keep getting fooled by our loser administration?

The only way this is going to get solved is to get rid of Cheek, Hart, and Susan Martin. The man who has to make it happen is old man Haslem. The problem is that he is the number one cause of this mess and hiring of Butch Jones. He is on record with saying that he does not want UT to be known as a football school. This even after he is a former player.

It appears DeBord is Butch's Clawson.
Difference is DeBord is just running Butch's system.

Butch must make some serious coaching changes in the offseason to have a chance to survive here. He has next year pretty much guaranateed as UT cannot afford another buy out right now.
