I really fear you're right. The problem is, now days, there are so many bowls, if you win 6 you're in one of them. Even jones can win 6 (even though UMASS was billed as an easy win, I still think he makes 6). For all those fools that said over and over, "He's moving us in the right direction", they are wrong. These are the same guys that usually say something about a dumpster fire 5 years ago, his great recruiting, etc. The problem is the Vols-our Vols-are suffering due to a second tier coach that is going in reverse.

3) Get Justin Martin out of there and replace him with Tyler Byrd. (No brainer). Can Juan Jennings play this year as a safety or CB? IF so get him out there too. Need some nasty attitude on D.

I just see in year 5 no identity on offense and super tentative on Defense. That part is not excusable. I can make excuses for a bad game or a last second loss, but not the part where they just are out of sync like this so often.

I think Georgia can beat us right now without throwing a single pass.

The only way we have a winning season is because USCe, Vandy, Mizou, LSU and possibly Kentucky all are as flawed as us.

I feel like the ones still defending Butch are the types of people that like get into massive debt gambling....but some how think they are just one good hand away from turning it all around again. Lolol.

It's not going to happen. This guy is quickly turning into a dumpster fire. It's not getting any better. You don't just go from scraping by horrible teams to suddenly being a competitive coach. It doesn't work that way.

I am not surprised. When they hired him I said "What they hired the coach of the only ranked team Dooley beat?"

Are we sure about that last sentence? I'm not so sure they are playing poorly on purpose, but it sure seems like something is up in that locker room.

I'm not either. But one way or the other we almost lost to UMass and if their QB doesn't go out then jeez its probably a 50/50 chance they score a TD on that last drive...which Butch left them time on the clock for.

If that comes out and is proven then I'll say he should be fired before seasons end just as Dooley should have been in 11 when Da'Rick & Bray didn't want to fight for a bowl and tanked the Kentucky game.

What's NOT speculation is, right now, this team is really bad.

This is speculation. If they keep playing this way they will be damn lucky to win 3 more games and stumble into the K-Mart Bowl.. It will get ugly. They will beaten soundly by UGA and will be absolutely mauled by Bama..
