Everyone is champions of the off-season. I remember 1 year where we were "favored" to win the east in the last 10 years, and even that wasn't favored by a majority. Of course if you're on a team's website, they will have confidence in their team.

There's optimism, and then there's the freebasing of pure GBO that goes on during the off-season, where it's proclaimed that, this year is the year/'just like 98' where we are in an infinitely better position to go 10-2 or 11-1, regardless of reality.
