It's on Discovery right now.

I think they're gonna feature Short Mountain Moonshine Whiskey at some point. Believe it or not it the recipe for it came from my dear old Grand Pa John P Barrett. Though you won't see his name credited to it.

My dad's late cousin Wilber had his moonshine still confiscated by the Forsyth county sheriff. It now resides in the plantation life exhibit at Stone Mountain. Drank some good ole moonshine from that still. It twas the best ever.

My grandad made,sold,and ran shine.

He was a distant cousin to Buford Pusser

Made family reunions interesting.

I'll never forget he had a old jug sitting next to him. I was around 8 or so. I asked what it was. He said get you a taste. I did. It burned my little mouth like nothing I had tasted before.

I miss that old man.

We are distantly related.

Buford and my father were first cousins.

My great-grandfather was a bootlegger. Made a small fortune. By the time he died he had given almost all of it away to charity.

I have a lot of family in McNairy county still and my dad lives in the bustling metropolis of Crump, between Adamsville and Savannah.
