The stats don't lie. Through 12 games 2008 vs 2009:

Jonathan Crompton -
2008: 889 yards passing, 4 TD, 5 INT, 98.13 pass rating
2009: 2345 yards passing, 25 TD, 11 INT, 135.37 pass rating

Monterio Hardesty -
2008: 271 yards rushing, 24 yards receiving, 6 TD
2009: 1127 yards rushing, 212 yards receiving, 10 TD

This is just ridiculous improvement.

Simply amazing.

The question coming into the season was if these coaches could coach...

Well guess what - THEY CAN!!!

I am impressed that half time is now for making adjustments that can impact the game....and not for a quick run to Krispy Cream.

Case closed, we got a great coaching staff.

Of course most of us on the VN already knew that. Fulmerites and national pundits are coming around.

When it was clutch time, I told my son- Lane Kiffin can coach- we will be OK. I had no doubt he would scheme something up. I wouldn't have necessarily felt that way a year ago, even though I was not a Fulmer basher.

It is amazing how working hard and being competitive in practice translate to success on gameday.

Astonishing turnaround and unreal coaching job with how JC has turned things around this year. Couldn't be happier for any of the players, but I'm especially proud of Crompton and Hardesty. Those guys deserved it!!!!!

No lie. Would we have been 3-9 with the old staff? :eek:hmy: Think about it. With all that CLK has done with Crompton, Hardesty and Stocker, not to mention all the others. :dance2:

I couldn't be happier with the selection of Kiffin. He and his staff was EXACTLY what our program needed.

he has also made some of these guys a lot of money on the next level (like Hardesty). Kudos to him

No kidding. I thought he was joking earlier in the year when he said JC could play in the NFL. Not sure he will play still, but I guarantee you he will get a look from a few teams at minimum.

I don't think there were many that really believed JC would see an NFL game without a ticket but he made me a believer.

The difference in the two halves speak for themselves (what went on (in the locker room) at halftime made the difference in the game).

I'm feeling no need to knock CPF right now. I think the season speaks for itself as well as improvements in the players mentioned.

Stat just mentioned on radio...No RB fumbled from scrimmage ALL SEASON!!!

That right there tells you a ton. Attention to detail. Expectation of perfection.

Can someone come up with these stats?

Penalties 2008 vs 2009
Turnover ratio 2008 vs 2009

Hardesty fumbled against UCLA. Was that on a pass?

hardesty's stats are up because he is the starter this year. cromptons are up because his head coach believed in him. tennessee has unlimited future if you can keep this staff together
