How big is the Appy St. upset?

Is the appy st. upset the biggest in college football history. what will be interesting is to see how um plays the rest of the year, maybe they still win the big 10 doubt it but it could happen. just curious what yall're thinkin. trying to pass time till 8

I would have to do some research...but it seems to at least be the biggest upset in modern times. And what a week for th socon. UTC get's hammered by D2 carson-newman, and then ASU beats #5 michigan at the big house...wow. There is a little bit of disparity in that league.

I think that is pretty big Appy State being AA and all. You know its a stinker because Granny Holtz is spinning like a top.

UM could run the tables and go undefeated the rest of the season and 1)they will never live down this loss and thus b) they will not play for a MNC.

You think? With all the Big 10 love by ESPN/ABC/Disney, I think if they win out, they win it all.

BTW I like the 1), b) stuff. Any idea what that does to someone in Alabama? :crazy::eek:lol:

This was a true David vs. Goliath match.

To think that a team like this could take down a top 5 school is insane. This was the biggest upset I've ever seen.

It's a huge media upset but in reality it's not that big of an unset considering Michigan has not had a quality win since 11-19-2005 when they beat Penn State

I think it is unquestionably among the biggest ever, but I think the AA vs. A scenario is what makes just about everybody feel like it is. However, after reading some of the posts after the game by the App. State faithful, I think they are right in taking some issue with the claim of a monumental upset because this game did not play out like a fluke. We see tons of mismatches where the little guy gets out to an early lead, only to fall in the end after waking up the giant. App. State did what most huge underdogs cannot do, and that is show the heart and passion to follow through. My point is that I think they are probably too good to be considered the biggest spoiler ever; there's a little more parity in college football nowadays than we thought.

To think the announcers of the Appy State vs Michigan game were the same ones who announced the Boise State vs Oklahoma game.

Today was only their 2nd game together. :crazy:
