How BIG is Nike.............

I try to understand why they are protesting Nike. I am told that the protest disrespect the flag and the troops, and retort that the protest is not about either. The protest is about police injustice. They say, no its not. I am told there is a better time and place to protest. When is a better time and place? At home in my bed? On my sofa? In my backyard? Why do people of color have to get permission to protest our mistreatment?
I don't see how this applies to my post.

never said anyone had to get permission, and in my post I was talking about the white people protesting Nike. just seems we are told we have to accept some races protests (with however much or little info) and reject other races (with however much of little info). There have been plenty of legit minority protests, doesn't make all of them legit. just because white people protested the lard content in Miracle Whip doesn't mean all their protests are dumb. societies reaction to the protests aren't the same, at all. If anything it has been the minorities assigning race to this protest at all.

If we are not careful, this thread could make its way into politics forum pretty quickly… 😬

Oh look another guy on the internet wanting to talk about how much money, someone who he doesn't know, makes. You are very sensitive when someone says something negative about the NFL or this cop hater, very odd but it keeps me laughing so please never stop.

You're calling me sensitive, but all I did was point the ******** meter at your post about his playing prospects, and now you're acting sensitive ^

Color of skin has nothing to do with this except in the eyes of a racist.

color of skin has a lot to do with it when the president calls the protestors SOB's, when Congressmen call them Baboons....where was that talk for the Nazi's in Charlottesville?

‘Well Done, Colin’ — John Brennan Gushes Over Colin Kaepernick’s Nike Campaign

Former CIA director John Brennan, now an MSNBC commentator and frequent critic of President Donald Trump, praised former quarterback Colin Kaepernick for his new Nike campaign.

“Well done, Colin, well done,” he wrote approvingly on Twitter Monday evening to the athlete who once wore socks to football practice that portrayed police officers as pigs.

It doesn't.........just another chance for him to be a racist.

I'll buy their stock when it hits a certain low and I'll take the money of those that buy their Chinese child labor made crap.

Rich guys always win.
Nike is pretty sharp to use basically slave labor to make a cheap product, and market it to folks who deify the athletes that they use in ads. There is a sucker born every minute.

Are all "SOB's" black?.......Did anyone attach a name to the "baboons" comments?...........White Supremacists are called out for what they are............YOU are the racist my friend.

Can you imagine what the NFL is thinking right now? Their biggest fan paying base are people with money who are against the kneeling crap and Nike just goes and does this. Their overall NFL apparel sales are about to hit the sh****r right before the season kickoff! How stupid can they be?!?!?

I’ve been called an SOB before and I’m white. Your post is beyond retarded.

you were protesting and the president of the us called you a SOB for protesting? Come on man....are you retarded? Your response is retarded. Playing dumb will not hide your racism.

well they attached it to NFL players that were protesting...

County GOP official called NFL players who kneel ‘baboons’

Donald Trump blasts NFL anthem protesters: 'Get that son of a bitch off the field'

playing dumb is how racist hide their racism....

No, seeing race in EVERYTHING is being a racist.
Did Trump say "Get that BLACK SOB off the field"?
A county GOP official is not a congressman.

I am sure you think I am an SOB right now.......guess what...........

Speaking of standing up for social injustice? I have yet to see protests from any side concerning this. Hey, as long as they keep making flashy kicks people are willing to drop $200-$300 on, right?

SACRIFICE: Kaepernick Signed A 'Star Contract,' But Nike Has Been Paying Him All Along

According to ESPN, former 49ers second string QB Colin Kaepernick hasn't made quite the sacrifice his new Nike ad suggests — at least, not with Nike.

It appears Nike has been paying Colin Kaepernick since back in 2011 when he inked a deal with the athletic wear company to endorse their products, and Nike continued to pay him even when Kaepernick turned down short-term contracts from both the Denver Broncos and the San Francisco 49ers to remain an unemployed political activist.

When the "right moment" came, Nike renegotiated with Kaepernick, giving him a significant pay raise and locking the not-NFL player (he left the league officially in 2017) into an NFL "star contract", placing him among Nike's highest-paid athletes.

That takes the sting out of the sacrifice, it seems.

Now you’re calling me racist. Are you mentally challenged? Calling people that disagree with you racist has no meaning anymore. You helped kill it. Dumb**!

So were the people that started the Montgomery Bus Boycott's douches'? Because you don't care about said protest, does not mean that the protest is not working. The end result were the buses were desegregated. The end result of this protest will be stricter accountability for police when dealing with POC. People like you area always on the wrong side of history. I am sure there were people that looked like you and me that spoke down to the people that protested the Montgomery Buses. I am sure after the buses were desegregated, that the ancestors of the people burning their Nikes today, vowed to never ride a desegregated bus again. I am sure that the ancestors of the people that speak ill of CK today, spoke ill of Civil Rights leaders back then.
The end result of a bus boycott was tangible and quantifiable (black people being able to ride any bus they wanted).

What is tangible about Kaperdick's protest? Stricter accountability? Seriously? What you want is mob rule. That is your strict accountability.

You're triggered dude. Your argument is complete emotion.

Apparently we run in different circles because I don't see that any of those companies offers anything other than the same ole crap including Nike.

That was my point genius....they all exploit slave labor to manufacture athletic footwear retailing for $100 and up, marketed by athletes making millions to push said merchandise.
