Bob Shoop is bad.

Vandy couldn't run for squat this yr yet ran for almost 250 yds. Over 550 total yds of offense. 33 first downs and 11-15 on 3rd down

The defensive coaches and players should be embarrassed about their ****ty effort vs a team that has been bad most of the season on offense.

If any coach they hire keeps this bag of hot air, he's the wrong guy and another wasted yr.

We doomed. Shoop was the most sure fire DC hire we could've made and it was nothing but a complete failure. I just don't get it. He was easily a top 5 DC on anybody's list but he gets here and works for Botch Jones and.....:thud:

Things got no better after Jones was fired. Bob Shoop has gotta be the most overrated DC ever.

Cant be overrated when you've proven to be good at 2 other schools. I agree his tenure here has been bad, im just not sure what the problem has been. He will go somewhere else and kill it im sure. Just our luck.

No pressure on the QB.

LB's who can't run.

CB's who can't cover.

Coaches who can't coach.

What could go wrong?

It's called having a few very average defensive players and a few more that are just bad.

The players are bad too. We have a OG playing DT, a backup DT playing DE, a practice squad player playing LB, and the best DB on the team plays WR and can't get on the field.

He had great success at Vandy and PSU, yet sucked at Tennessee. Whats the common denominator? James Franklin. Why? Well if it was just Shoop, then PSU's defense should have suffered greatly without one of the best DC's in the country. Didnt happen. Shoop has been riding Franklins coat tails.

Well, now its proven without a doubt.

We can cross one thing off our balance sheet of assets.

The roster everyone thinks is available for the new coach simply is not there!

Looks as if we gotta start over with all coaches and most of the roster cause they can't cut it!

That was vanderbilt they made look like world beaters!

For whatever reason our highly rated recruiting classes stink. Out of 22 starters there are probably no more than 2-3 who would start elsewhere.

Unbelievable.

I believe this also.
Some will say Franklin was an O coordinator and he didn’t have any input on the D. I think some coaches have forgot more than others will ever know on either side of the ball. Franklin is legit, both O and D.
Shoop and BJ are both snake 🐍 oil salesman. UT bought several cases full.

It's so bad who on here thought Tennessee would go 1-7 after the U-Mass game? I know some were posting Tennessee will not win another game all year, but really I didn't think they were serious.

Bob Shoop goes down as the worst, most disappointing coaching hire in program history. He was absolutely awful here.

And I and most all of VN thought this was the best hires in Butch’s career, thought it was gonna be something that would of helped Butch program, funny how it went downhill quick

The roster is there, the talent is there. We need the will and an effective S&C program.
