If this game had been the blowout so many expected, that forward progress call would have never happened. I can’t remember a more embarrassing play than the defensive lapse at about 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. We have a long way to go and a lot of work to do.

Who were the two top five teams Purdue beat? They did play two top five teams, Ohio State and Notre Dame, and lost to both. And...the team we played was about half of that team. I just don’t see a lot to be happy about here.

Well that is a glass half full approach.

I don’t usually get too mad about bad calls. They are part of the game and we benefit often as well. How you call fwd progress in that situation is just ludicrous.

It was a game full of horrible calls. I was as frustrated as I've been watching a game in years, but yes, I agree with your optimistic outlook.

There was (is) nothing awesome about tonight. We missed numerous opportunities. We have them plenty. And we found a way to lose again when we were on a big stage with a chance to make a positive statement. Instead, we just showed that we still lose in new and creative ways.

The players need to have anger burning in their guts all off-season as motivation. We blew it. Again. We should never have been in a position to allow those bad officiating calls to sway the outcome.
