How are we not in the top 5 after that?

If Texas Tech and Boston College both do us a solid, we will jump Okie State and Clemson. TTU is up 24-20 over Okie State at halftime. 👀

To get to the #5 spot (or higher), we have to leapfrog at least three teams.

Name three (or more, if you wish) that you think we've proven we are better than, and make the case to voters who live in Cleveland or Provo or Amarillo. Explain to us as you would to them how we've shown we deserve those spots more than the other teams do. For each of the three, please.

Short of that, we're just gonna have to wait for (a) some of those teams to lose and fall, or (b) us to beat the #1 or #2 team. THAT will push us higher even if no one else above us loses.

We should definitely jump Michigan…they play a bunch of nobodies and barely beat bum ass Indiana today

31-10 won't look like "barely" to the poll voters who don't have time to watch every Top 25 team play. It will look like a decisive win. And sure, Michigan hasn't beaten any really good teams yet. But they haven't lost to anyone, either, so the supposition lasts that they MIGHT be good enough to challenge #3 Ohio State for the B10. And who knows, maybe they can.

Until they stumble, or we beat Bama and/or UGa, we're not leapfrogging them. Or USCw, or Ohio State, or Clemson. Maybe we can get past Oklahoma State for #7.

Go Vols!
