How are Outback Bowl ticket sales?

Look at ticketmaster under the setting where you pick seats on the seating map. I looked online early this week. It was pretty much sold out on the 1st and 2nd tiers. Lots still available on the 3rd tier on the Tennessee side.

Tennessee only got 8,000 tickets. they asked for more but not sure if or how many they got. 8,000 sold quickly and they had over 15,000 requests from the donors.

I bought 4 and only need 2......... waiting (im)patiently. May put them on STUB, etc

I got my tickets the other day. NW side almost sold out. Vol side has more available Tix. Not sure why.

Anyone else going to chance and try to scalp some? We booked our hotel but I really didn't want to pay more than about $50 per ticket.

Because the UT side is the east side. For a noon game, that is NOT the side to be sitting on, although that is where I bought our four tickets. The sun will be in our eyes for pretty much the whole game. That is OK, as long as I can see the Big Orange, I am fine!

Give them credit. According to NCAA figures for 2014, they averaged 38,000 per home game. We averaged 99,000 that year. I would guess we would outnumber the Kittens fans at least 3-to-1 at the bowl game like we did in the regular season in 2014.

JAX was awesome last year. It was easily 10-1 UT. I expect the same this year. I'd say Iowa fan base is larger than NW, so maybe 12-1...

I have a feeling UT fans are buying on the NW side for that very reason.

Even with the East side, FL is overcast about 70% of the time.

bowl games always have corporate sponsors that get tickets and sell them for little of nothing. just have to be fortunate to find them. At the Sugar Bowl after 1990 season, there was a guy at the door of the Hyatt headed over to Superdome that had hundreds of tickets in his hand. selling them for $10 each. probably got them for nothing.

I've been to several bowls and there is always tickets there. Even our NC game had cheaper tickets on the outside than face value.

Yeah I went with a buddy to the Sugarbowl when UGA played Hawaii and we paid like $125 for our tickets. Going into the stadium there was multiple folks selling them for $10

1998 Orange Bowl. Peyton's last game. I saw a scalper asking for $1 each. Yes, one US Dollar. I don't know how good they were.
