Folks let’s get this guy on board and get us a defensive line that can clog a hole and make backs wish they didn’t have to run the football.

How does he feel about becoming the head coach?

Just wondering.
I honestly think we need to give Pruitt more time. As I look around all the successful programs currently, we should look at the head coach tenure with the university. I know we just got beat by saban but he has been at Alabama for 14 years. Dabo Sweeney has been at Clemson for almost 10years. But back in the day if you look at history all historic programs who had successful programs had head coaches who had a chance to build their program and not worry about what people on social media thought.Sometimes as fans we need to sit back and let the man do his job. I will be the first one to say it if I think he needs to go. Right now there is no freaking way Jeremy Pruitt has forgot how to coach winning football.

Your last sentence sums up my thoughts as well....
One cannot forget what one has never known...

Don’t worry Tennessee WILL give him more time.

I personally don’t think the fans should give him more time. He hasn’t earned it......once he does something, once he has this program competitive, once he shows consistency......then “us” the fans should slack up on the criticism.

When did Pruitt ever had to recruit and develope his own players on his own prior coming to UT?

When was he ever involved with the offensive side of the ball before coming to UT?

Dabo has had time to build his program. Once Pruitt gets it done we will all forget and enjoy the ride.

Pruitt's time at UT is nothing like Dabo's at Clemson, and theres literally nothing indicating that it will suddenly morph into a remotely similar situation.

Big-Huge difference in being the HCoach vs a DC. That is why HCs make $4M + per year instead of $750K +
Organizing, keeping people happy, making tuff decisions, hiring and firing, full game plans, tv and radio shows, public speaking engagments, recruiting needs, budgets, and many more that aren’t related to football knowledge. Someone like Saban could probably coach the volleyball team and turn them into winners. You have the “IT” factor just like a player does. Dabo’s players respect him and would run thru a wall for him. Not sure if they do/would for Pruitt (yet).

You see I think the man needs time. Pruitt is a hell of a coach! I did not support butch or Derek but I supported the program. I said it in my circle in 2015 that butch needed to go. I will tell you if Pruitt hasn’t made this program competitive by 2022 I will say he is not the guy..

A "hell of a coach"? Based on what exactly?

You realize that tenure is because they were successful or sharply trending that way usually in short order.
How many top coaches struggle for 6-7 years then suddenly turn it around?
There has been many #2’s in any field that were highly successful when there decision making was limited to what they know best but fail when in charge making decision for the whole

I would agree with you if not for one glaring problem. Settling. Settling that JG is the best thing he can put out there. A coach who wants to win tries whatever it takes. Giving the backups one snap every couple of games, pulling them instantly on any mistake, that just doesn't cut it. They need a chance to settle in and get comfortable playing. JG is as comfy as he'll ever be. And it ain't good enough.

Bo Davis would be awesome..
If he would leave the NFL. I’m honestly good with either he or Tosh. They are both great recruiters and know what it takes to win football games.
