Of course not. As I've said, no one thinks the B1G is as tough as the SEC, BUT he took a team that was trash in the B1G and in the first year turned it completely around and maintained that success.Do you think Cignetti would be undefeated at this point if Indiana were in the SEC?
Even if it were the Southern Conference, I'd want to know how a guy in the NIL and portal era MAINTAINED that team after a magic year.
If I'm at Indiana (and I know little of their team) and I get noticed that first year for helping them turn it around and get in the CFP, I'm looking to jump ANYWHERE else in the B1G because the chance of Indiana being where they are AGAIN this year would seem pretty remote. But here they are. How?
How can we get some of that in this era where guys like Joey A have a superb year at App State and rather than stay there, he rightfully tries to get the heck out of there to UCLA for more money and more recognition and luckily ends up at UT. Why the heck didn't Indiana get raided by better schools to play ball for?
