Hotels in Knoxville for 2016 Season

Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels in the Knoxville area or surrounding areas for next season? I am looking to book early for some games. Also does anyone know of any hotels that shuttle to the games? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hilton Garden and Four Points Sheraton are walking distance to the game.

I think there are quite a few shuttles for downtown hotels....

We stayed in Days Inn north Knoxville for a couple games this year.. It wasn't terrible but I've stayed in better hotels for less $... I wouldn't recommend it.

Hilton Garden Inn at Cedar Bluff is going to a two night minimum, we've stayed there for the past couple of years,no more. We got all our reservations for Spring Hill suites Cedar Blufv and Hampton Inn near Smokies stadium, Sevierville. Hotels are going to start gauging too!

If you're cheap like me and still want a decent place to stay, I'd recommend Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn in Cedar Bluff. So far I have 3 rooms for Florida and Alabama games for $148 total each game at Motel 6. Stayed there for OU game and it wasn't bad.

Book extremely early, like now, before they load in their 'gameday' pricing. I pissed off the manager at Red Roof when we stayed there for Arkansas game because I booked so early and paid $50 when the gameday rate was $125.

Are there any areas around Knoxville you wouldn't recommend due to crime bad neighborhoods, etc.?

Airport Hilton seems like it needs a renovation, but it's pretty dang convenient.

Do Not stay at the Quality Inn West Waterpark Hotel. It may sound good at the time, but it's terrible! Stayed there in October and it was so humid in my room everything was wet. Also, it was so loud in there from 8am-10pm!

I stay with Marriott because I'm an employee and I get A pretty good discount. There is definitely shuttle/bus service from Courtyard at Gallagher View.

Holiday Inn Express in Sevierville, right across from Smokies Stadium, has a shuttle.

I also recommend hotels on Emory Rd and Strawberry Plains Pike exits if you want to avoid 2 night stay minimum and jacked up game weekend prices.

Holiday Inn World's Fair is nice. We stayed there a couple times

If you can i would do the Marriot. IMO nicest hotel in knox and not crazy priced if you book now. Also within walking distance from stadium If you dont mind a little walk, done it the past 3 years when family came to visit.

All the hotels in West knoxville either have a shuttle or a knoxville school bus will come by and shuttle you for about ten bucks per person. Only bad thing is they usually don't arrive at the stadium until after the Vol walk.

Don't know about shuttles but there are about 5 new hotels I-40 @ Papermill Road. Brand new La Quinta, newly renovated Red Roof (converted Holiday Inn), Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, one other. Also an old Travel Lodge... don't know what it is right now. The 5th new one might be a Crowne Plaza.

Papermill is 5 miles west of campus. West is the safest side of town. More property crimes possibly since stuff is more valuable out there.

Don't stay close in on the east side. Strawberry Plains exit is far enough out though... beyond the slums.

Edit: I drove down Old Weisgarber today... rather than a Crown Plaza the other new hotel is a Courtyard by Marriott... Brookvale. It's between Old Weisgarber and Northshore Drive.
