Those are great memories. Did they still have a restaurant on the top floor when you were there? We would go there for Sunday brunch.
The haven for starving grad students (at least back when it was the Hyatt.) Eat ramen all week, and then hit the Hyatt on Sundays for unlimited food and (mostly) unlimited champagne.

I went there several times for brunch. Another story....my brother got married in Knox in '96 and I was living in LC at the time. I booked a room there instead of driving back to LC, as all the festivities were between downtown and Cherokee CC. After the wedding and reception, the party reconvened at the Lord Lindsey. I went back to he hotel to change and my key wouldn't work....they knew our group had booked a ton of rooms so they gave me suite. The next morning I showed up at brunch to meet up with Mom & Dad with a few female "friends".
