Hotel in Columbus MS canceled my reservations.

Please don't ever advise spending money in that state, or staying the night there.

I've learned the art of driving across the entire state of Arkansas without having to buy gas or food. The negative side is you have to fill up gas in Memphis which is pretty risky

Why i hate playing SEC teams in little $hitholes in Mississippi and Alabama with 2 hotels and 3 restaurants in the middle of nowhere.

Full disclosure my wifes granddaughter graduated from MSU and i have known Sharon Fanning former womens bb coach for 50 years and i know many Vol fans who have said MSU fans are the most courteous fans they have seen. Great people just a horrible location.

Update, so hotel (Courtyard by Marriot) supposedly was purchased and lost computer info. Long story short, management had Expedia cancel reservations. With further discussion Management made reservations and moved me to a different hotel.

While not great, I sorta have to say that people who book with Expedia or Booking.com sorta have this stuff coming... Like if it is a one off, great. But for weekends that have events that bring high traffic, this is an issue that happens constantly all over. Book direct!
