There were things I liked, things I didn't like. What I didn't like was Hurd being fed the ball while it was clear he didn't have it. Kelly was more dynamic all night. Didn't like Dobbs still being in the game after making horrible decisions. Defense was lights out, but castrated by the offense. Coaches have to flat out figure this **** out in the first half, before the game is out of reach. They didn't. This is on Butch and Debord. Shoop did a hell of a job keeping it close after 3 turnovers. **** this coaching staff. Stupid, stupid, stupid decisions all night. Hope you all lose your jobs. You have a talented team and you just screwed them over tonight. You morons.

Thanks Butch Jones, coming off a bye week you lose to a 1-4 SEC team with a high school QB. You are out coached weekly and you sealed your fate when you hired the only offensive coordinator you could find who hadn't coached in years. Don't let them the door hit you in the tail.

Butch thought it was a bye week.

Sums it up perfectly

There is something wrong in this program. These players are not responding to these coaches.

I know a lot of you guys don't like Basilio, but he's bringing it on the 5th qrtr show. Shoop sucks and was way overhyped. Talent has not been developed and we just lost to an 18 yr old high school senior QB and a head coach in Muschamp that has been a failure by all measurable standards. So what does that make us??

This ranks up there with losing to Kentucky with a wide receiver playing QB as embarrassing losses. Has this team quit like Bray and company had quit on Dooley?

They should start QD next week. He can't do any worse that Dobbs has in the first half. We played a bottom 10 defense this week and did nothing. Maybe Dobbs can come in and give us a spark if we fall 2 scores down against T-tech (which is likely the way we've been playing). Or maybe a Change at QB will give the offense a spark. I'm not saying it's all Dobbs fault -- the schemes and play calling are suspect but the coaches are not going to change

That's a cop out. I'll sign the "fahr Butch" petition at first chance, but I can promise you it's not all on the coaches. Dobbs was absolutely awful. The only fault the coaches have is not benching him.

Somehow, these coaches lost a lot of these players before the season even started. If it was one or two, then I would put it on those players. But, I think there is a much deeper problem in this program.

The fact the Dobbs was so inept and still in the game is on the coaches. He has not progressed as a QB that again is on the coaches. USC had a great game plan and was fired up that comes from practice not going to the movies.

On their second touchdown Justin Martin just stood back about 10 yards and watched the receiver cut in front of him for a touchdown without making any effort at all.

I agree. Time to cut bait.

I have been critical of Butch and yes he is not even in the top 3rd of SEC coaches with in game decisions. But man the Vols are the walking wounded. He has been dealt a difficult hand. With that said, I truly believe his talent would have to be head and shoulders above the competition to win consistently because he is so deficient with his in game decisions.

Just exactly what I said in another thread. The coaches are failing these kids badly. Even with all these injuries we can't lose to a QB with one game under his belt against UMass & still should be in high school. He beat us along with that one WR basically.

Shoop didn't get the job done either on defense even though we had what 6 sacks tonight? The QB & WR beat us by themselves & throw in a couple of good runs by them. No excuses though.

This is not a South Carolina team that should beat us period even with what we have available. Sorry! Just flat out Sorry. Something has to give(or go) in Knoxville. :eek:hmy::bad:

Butch is cratering at the point when he finally has the talent to win.

This is what we look like after 2 weeks to prepare? I still believe the best thing we can do is keep Butch. But, Dobbs has just been awful too many times. No reason for him to play again. Debord? I'm now finally on board with him going as well. The most basic game plan would have won tonight.
