Being at Neyland was an experience unlike any other. I expected it to be loud, but having been to Nebraska and Michigan I didn't think it would be noticeably different, but boy was I wrong. Every defensive snap you guys were loud like none other, it caused a bunch of 1st half penalties. Your fans also were so inviting and pleasant. I enjoyed chatting with you guys. The night sky and the whole stadium was an unrivaled sight. I hope we play again so I can have an excuse to go back. Hopefully some of you can make it to Provo in 2023. It isn't quite the same experience, but it is still fun and great.

After watching the GSU game I had no idea what to expect in this one. I knew your team was going to come out motivated after that loss, and you did. That opening drive hurt, especially after the review reversed the pass that should have been incomplete (indisputable is used loosely these days). I thought it was going to be a LONG game for us. Your backs are impressive, I will give them that. Every play had one or two broken tackles giving you 3-5 more yards. Jennings is a man of a WR as well, that OT touchdown was a thing of beauty. Ah You couldn't have played that ball any better, but Jennings willed that TD to existence.

I see 2 main problems with Tennessee. You guys drove the ball all day long against us, but couldn't finish drives. This mainly happened because your QB was missing throws left and right. I know that many of you are calling for his head, and for good reason. His first TD throw and the INT both went right to our shortest LB on the field. A better QB and you guys score atleast 14 more points in regulation. The other main problem was the predictable play calling. Our rush defense was very effective on 3rd down and short, getting key stops every time we needed it. An occasional play action or screen on 3rd and short would have kept our defense more honest and may have lead to more prolonged drives for you guys.

I see a talented but disorganized team. You guys don't have many holes, QB and rushing defense. Cimaglia is a dang impressive kicker. I'll be cheering for you guys this year, and hope you guys get to a bowl game. I think 2020 will be your year, I would be surprised if you guys weren't vastly improved with all the talent on your roster. Hopefully Pruitt can clean things up.

Classy and a pretty fair and accurate assessment of the game. Wish we had won but y'all made plays when the game was on the line and we didn't. That's the way it goes. We'll see if we can return the favor when we come to Provo.

Thanks,Coug. You've been here for a decent while and you've got good insight. Glad you had a good experience in TN. It really is a great place to live. I like to believe we have the most gracious (and loudest) fans in the SEC. Only disagreement I have with your post is that Chaney is so predictable in his play calling simply because he has no passing game beyond 5-10 yards. Good luck with your season.

We have plenty of fixable problems , but we may have 2 games left on our schedule that are winnable if we don't get our qb situation fixed . I'm only confident that we can squeak out a win on UTC as it stands .

Really glad you guys came. I posted over on your Cougar board and received LOTS of positive remarks. I sat behind 3 of your fans in the north end zone and had a great night talking football all night. Talked with several BYU fans during and after the game, too. You guys love football and are first class fans! Hope you win the rest of your games.

Probably the best fans of an opposing team I’ve sat next to at a game in years.

I can’t stand losing but I loved all the compliments Neyland got. Everybody from Utah in section S seemed to be in awe!

Classy post. We’ve got something special but fear on the verge of toxicity if we don’t get a shot in the arm soon with a decent win. Not for nothing but I’m tired of being a great experience for fans to come get a win and enjoy Neyland experience. Our fans are always hospitable to other fans (except maybe FL/GA/Bama) but must we always send them away with a smile on their faces like this weekend or Oklahoma ????? We certainly go out of our way to make sure these teams get their full entertainment value, snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

God bless!

I dig Provo. I'll have to bring my youngest out for some fishing and/or skiing while we're there in 2023!
