Hooker was never really given a chance. Every time I saw him, the defensive line was blasting his offensive line. Every time he handed off the running back got killed. He was playing with 2nd and 3rd units the whole time. Can't help but think with his work ethic and character, he has a chance to resurface. Would be great to see him get to play with the same unit as Goff. I think Detroit was just a bad fit. Hoping he gets another opportunity.
I'm not so sure Hooker just wasn't the victim of the trade for Goff working out much better than Detroit could have dreamed.
I honestly believe the Lions drafted HH planning to give him a solid shot to develop into a starter once they were able to dump Goffs contract.
Goff got a say in the matter also however and resurrected his career the last two years. Good problem to have if you are Detroit.
Once Goff stopped playing like a joke and because a decent QB again, Hooker just didn't really have much of a shot.
