Hooker is Starting

Yep. It wouldn't surprise me if he went off today, like any QB would starting today. Next week is what worries me.

Maybe, but at least CJH is trying to improve the team and our chances of winning/competing.

Milton is terrible. I think Hooker is at least adequate

I just hope it means Bailey is backup and he gets to come in after the half.

Ofcourse HB will not get any respect cause it's TT. But hell, everyone else sucked against BG and Pitt
This will be what happens.
Hooker looks good the first half.
Bailey starts the 2nd.
Bailey looks better the 2nd half but a huge argument breaks out because it was against 2nd team defense.
Next weeks big hot topic has been born!

And then Milton is gonna start against Florida

Worst case scenario

Milton gets no chance to hit deep balls against TTU

Who knows if he will against the Gators

Then Hooker goes in at the half or second quarter when we are down two scores.

Milton had chances the first 2 games and couldn't do it. He couldn't do it at Michigan How games does he need? He's not a QB

Hooker has one main priority today (which should be the main priority of any starting QB). Protect possessions without turning the ball over! Ever possession this should be the main priority. I remember an absolute absurd discussion on this board last year about turnovers and the OP stated "The importance of Turnovers in a game are greatly overblown". And IIRC he had several who agreed with him. May have been the silliest, most ill-informed thread I've seen here BTW. Rarely without some weird once-in-a-lifetime stat does the team losing the turnover battle win the contest. Of course it happens and probably will happen again this year in college football BUT protecting possessions by the QB is the games most important stat. Hooker had two last week. I am looking for zero this week!

It'll be interesting to see how Hooker is after a week of 1st team reps. I'm sure the game plan will be built around him. If it were me, I would play Hooker until the end of the 3rd quarter and them give Bailey his turn. We probably won't see many passes in the 2nd half, run, run run. I doubt that Heupel will run up a big score. My guess is low 50s.

Enjoy the game everyone. Lets go Vols!!!!

Milton must have overthrown the ball about 110 times in the first two games. He appears to have little, if any, touch to his throws.

Give someone else a chance.

Sooo who plays vs Florida??

If Milton starts Florida I don't like this because he needs all the time he can get before then to get his throws down.
