Hooker etc griping about Kiffin right now!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Kiffin can do all the interviews they want after signing day. Until then he's sort of busy trying to fill out a staff, re-recruit players already committed, go after new recruits with a very limited amount of time, find a house, have a baby, etc. The Knoxville media needs to STFU if you ask me. Seriously.

Agreed, these guys are horrible anyways!

I dont think they've noticed Fulmer is not the head ball coach anymore, they better get used to it.

I am starting to believe that if ESPN starts getting the UT scoops over the local losers, then we may see ESPN actually showing some positive things about UT.

Call me crazy, but I think Fulmer's local good-old-boys network with the local guys may have been a part of the treatment ESPN gave UT and by extension the root of the "ESPN hates UT" theories.

Couple better access with a new SEC contract and a desire to hype their own programming and ESPN might become downright friendly to the vols.

Just a thought.

I read a fairly long thread several months ago on a USC (Southern Cal) website titled "Why does ESPN hate USC ?", While I am reading this thread, I am thinking my God, is there actually a team fanbase out there whose fans don't think ESPN hates them? It seems like all i hear from ESPN is how great USC is, and these homers are talking about ESPN's hatred for USC.

I concluded that fan groups hear what they want to hear (positive or negative).

Ultimately, Tennessee sports has been completely irrelevant on the national scene for some time now (a tough pill to swallow). I believe ESPN will start taking notice when we start winning again.

Tony Bassillio is the only local worth listening to. He talks about the thinks that are instantanously relevant, interesting, and exciting to the volnation. The Sports Animal is fine if your over 65 and use to getting your news by carrier pigeon.

You beat me to it. Tony Basilio is the only guy in town that gives you the straight scoop. He is able to do it because he is not beholden to State Run Radio or University cronies. He also has the best sources in the biz. :good!:
