Hooker’s Helmet

Why is his different from the rest of the team?
I was wondering that.

It is possible Hendon's family bought that helmet for him. It's not the issue helmet the rest of the team have, it doesn't seem. They only cost $800-$1,000. Not nothing, but a really cost-effective insurance policy for a fella who has NFL aspirations.

Vicis - Forever Forward

I think the Vols use Schutt helmets, generally speaking.

His helmet isn’t different from the rest of the teams lol.

Anyone who wears the VICIS helmet doesn’t have Tennessee on the back. Tyler Baron wears a VICIS helmet and it’s the same concept.

VICIS helmets are one of the best helmets to prevent concussions. I would assume since the helmet is so streamlined that putting the raised letters on it would mean they would fall off easier. Also, the pad is small and the VICIS letters are so big you wouldn’t be able to cover them and there isn’t enough room for the full word.

Schutt actually bought out Vicis after they ran out of cash last year.

Vicis assets sold for $2.85M to Schutt investor, promising to revive failed startup’s helmet tech

Probably got a mix of both on hand. Supply chain issues on most anything involving plastic and resins has getting new helmets tough right now I would think.

VA Tech also has their own line of helmets through Vicis and I think you could see the difference between them and Pitt in the game on right now.
