Seems like he moved down during Clausen's freshman year, when we went 8-5. He said that he liked being able to look the QB's in the face and get a feel for what they were feeling.
Personally, ESPECIALLY if Rick stays in, I think he needs to go to the booth and let Cooter or Trooper signal the plays in to Rick.
He oringinally moved to the sidelines when the offense was sputtering, and he felt that Casey needed a coach on the sidelines.
Solution, prepare the QBs during the weak and move back to the box.
Some people say that RS is a genious (I doubt this). IMO if he is the offensive mind, he needs a birds eye view of what defenses are doing. I don't care who you are, you cannot see everything from the sidelines.
