Game was over, no reason to risk getting JG hurt. Let Chryst get a little feel. Those are my guesses.I’m really scratching my head on this one. What was the point of taking JG out of the game for the last 60 seconds if you’re just going to let Chryst hand it off 4 times?
I’m not bashing CJP, just really curious about this decision.

It’d be hard to throw a TD when his only job is to hand the ball off until the game endsI just remember him saying he was only going to play 1 QB and didn’t want the other guy looking over his shoulder. So I thought it was kind of interesting that he’d do that. Nothing to gain from it whatsoever. Chryst comes in and throws a TD and then everyone is pissed that he didn’t play the whole game. And playing as little as he did is almost an insult to the player.
They may have a kid in a Heisman race, no issue with them padding their stats. We certainly did it over the years. I seem to recall Peyton tossing one late when we were up 31-13 on Georgia that had Jim Donnan ready to fight Fulmer.Because Pruitt has much more integrity than throwing the ball to score when the game has already been decided unlike WVU.
It seems he is giving jg some rest before that slog of a conference schedule coming up, give him UTEP as a tune up before Florida.I just remember him saying he was only going to play 1 QB and didn’t want the other guy looking over his shoulder. You think JG was looking over his shoulder with 60 seconds left down 30? You’re trying too hard.I just remember him saying he was only going to play 1 QB and didn’t want the other guy looking over his shoulder. So I thought it was kind of interesting that he’d do that.
