Homecoming attendance

I am planning on going to the game next week, so there will be at least 3 people in the stands.

Nothing wrong with that. It is your choice. Plus, there is still a chance to get bowl eligible.

To be clear, I absolutely loathe what has been done to this program during the Hammy, Hart and Currie regimes (all led by you know who). BUT, I hope like he!! that Fulmer and Pruitt prove to be successful.

5-7 would be about what you could expect this year, and a road win at Auburn is something positive.

6-6 or above would be incredible work.

4-8 followed by another sluggish start to ‘19 would be time to strike.

Maybe because “I’m a true fan” definition that gets thrown around here a lot, I hope we are all fans. Did I get frustrated and disgusted by the game we watched? Sure I did. Did I want to throw my shoes at the tv for the whole game? Yep. I’m here because I’m a optimistic type person and have no where to go with this team but up.

Blind optimism is nothing to be proud of. My optimism went out the window long ago.

But, see my post above. I hope that Fulmer and Pruitt are successful for a long time.

it was a beautiful day for a game. kids had a blast as well so it was an all around great day!

So, being a Vols fan has morphed into being a Cubs fan pre-2015 (and yes, I’ve lived in Chicago and been to Wrigley more times than I can count...all pre-2015).

Last time I checked, I’m not blind. As far as the blind optimism that you diagnosed me with, not up to you what I should feel proud of. Never asked you when and if your optimism was ever there, no one did. Glad to see you have hope in Coach Pruitt and Coach Fulmer.

Nor is it up to you to decide who is a real fan. Deal?

Hyams estimated actual attendance at around 55k. FWIW.

student section practically empty....high % of upper deck vacant....but what is really important is who got the closest estimate.
looks like orange madam wins the estimate in comparison to the claimed attendance but allvol123 was closer to the Hyams projection (which appears to be more accurate).

I hear you, but many on here are under the delusion that there are fair weather or bandwagon fans of this program. Anyone still on Volnation after the past decade is an awesome fan.
That or the biggest collection of masochists on the planet.

They showed panoramic view of the stadium somewhere around the middle of the 3rd (keep in mind it was still a 11 point game) and it looked like there was about 40k people in the stands.

You could definitely tell they gave away a lot of tickets in the upper reaches of the South end zone where the visiting fans normally sit. Upper deck was very sparely populated in pregame but top10 rows were packed in several sections
