The hype around this movie is incredible. Deservedly so imo.

Supposed the first 90 seconds are previewed before the new mission impossible movie.

I'll be sad to see it end, this series at least.

Assuming they stick with only making 3.

If I remember correctly Nolan is officially ending it with this one.

I never followed the comic...but didn't bane break batmans back?

If this 3rd is as good as the first two, it'd be the greatest trilogy ever, IMO. No reason to stop there. Bale may not want to do anymore, but money talks.

This is a basic plot summary released by Nolan in a recent interview.

The Dark Knight Rises picks up right after The Dark Knight.. Bane breaks Batman's back in a fight... around 15-20 min into the movie it says "8 years later" and Batman comes out of retirement, rehabilitates his back and beats Bane's butt. Nolan says this is very different from the first 2... It's more like a Rocky type story.

I still like the first one better. Heath Ledger's performance as Joker really took the second movie over the top, but without his character, the first movie was far and away the better film, IMO.

No way. As far as writing and film-making goes, I think the second one is much better. The themes in it are so heavy which amazes me that they were able to streamline them into a crowd-pleasing comic book movie. My poli-sci professor made us write 10 pages about the movie's social relevance.

This is only the 2nd time I've heard someone say this in my life. I respect your opinion and that you're open about admitting it.
