Holgorsen is classless

Our defense is no better than it was last year.. our dbs are slow and our line cant get pressure. this is gonna be a long season
Yep. We wouldn't have beaten a lot of teams with that defensive effort today. Grier was just playing catch with his guys, and they dropped two other sure TDs. Safety's and Corners looked awful across the board for us, young and inexperienced or not.

I mean it was Sills 1v1 against a DB who was 10+ yds off him that hasn't been able to stop him all game... It wasn't even an effort of a play for Grier or the receiver. (Easier than risking your RB getting hurt)
Then just take a knee. Risking your Heisman QB taking a shot in the backfield is much worse than risking a RB you won't likely need. You're missing the point.

That was clearly a stat padding TD for his senior QB who will likely end up in the Heisman discussion. Might rub some folks the wrong way, but it doesn’t really bother me.

If you're talking about the late TD, I don't have a problem with it. If the roles were reversed we would've done the same thing

No we wouldn't... That's the problem with every Tennessee coach in my lifetime. They never go for the throat. They always back off... I've hated it since Majors...

We also wouldn’t have even been in that position had we not blatantly jumped offsides on the FG attempt.

It would be nice if we atleast acted like we wanted to win the ballgame
I see where you’re coming from. I just see more value in getting some guys live action in a few run plays as a more valuable way to spend those 2 minutes than having JG throw 4 incomplete deep balls in a row. Even if we score, Dana would’ve just thrown it deep right after getting it back to go back up by 26.

They will get theirs when they play OU and some other tough competition. WVU is nothing special.

I don’t think they quit. They played hard. They aren’t experienced or good right now.

Butch’s defense would have given up over 700 yards and 60 points.

I'm not sure why football is singled out for outrage for running up the score. Basketball teams up 30 don't stop shooting, baseball teams still swing the bats, tennis players still try to hit aces up the t, soccer teams still try to score, etc. and no one takes issue. Football team does it though and it hurts feelings.

The only questionable thing about it was why risk Heisman candidate Grier getting injured up 19 with 2 minutes left. Not classless, but probably a bit risky.

What was the risk? The upper deck spectators were closer to him than our linemen.

Tennessee has more money than God to field a respectable team. We need to demand more. We shouldn’t ever complain when someone runs it up on Tenn.
