Hey guys I am excited about the upcoming season too.I am a HUGE BUCCANEER Fan too, and All this talk jinxed my Bucs defense tonight. We gave up over 300 yds rushing. I can not remember the last time that happened. So if Mote is coming so be it, but at least let my Bucs finish Strong, with Monte at the helms. I am supersticious lol. GO VOLS AND GO BUCS.

I'll go out on a limb and say our speculation had nothing to do with the Panthers pushing around the Buccaneers tonight.

Can the Bucs just forfeit the rest of the season so we can tell our recruits Monte will be their coach?

One season doesn't really matter that much, right? We just threw one away... the Bucs could go ahead and do the same.

It's all in the name of progress at UT.:eek:k:

The Panthers didn't get the full monte tonight.

Nope, he's watching Gator film. Thinking about how many different ways he can shut Urban's offense down. Can't really blame him. He's got Rocky Top Fever. It happens.

Bucs have never had an O. But the D they showed 2nite wasnt worth a shizzle. Dont mean the man cant coach on the SEC level.

He's well proven on the NFL level. You do know the NFL is more than one level up, right?

Seriously, I really don't get this not-announcing-it thing. If he's really coming & there's already all this speculation, why don't they just publicly announce it & say his resignation is effective at the end of the season? I know emotions are a big part of college players' game, but you would think pro players would have a diff. job/business mindset.

I dunno boys...Florida would have rolled up 900 yards on the Tampa defense tonight.

Monte might be a legend in the NFL, but he hasn't seen anything as tough as the SEC. He better pack a lunch.

Maybe if Monte continues to tank the defense, the Bucs will lose out and miss the playoffs completely so he can get to Knoxville even quicker.

From the Bucs website...
"Since 1996, Kiffin’s first year in Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers defense ranks as the top unit in the NFL, surrendering just 285.2 yards per game. In his 12 seasons (1996-2007) with the Buccaneers, Kiffin’s unit has registered 375 takeaways to rank tied for sixth in the NFL while also posting 474 sacks to rank tied for 10th during that span."

...enough said. :dance2:
