Hokies aren't that good.

Wow watching the replay... that hokie qb just made a jamies winston move (like in the Rose Bowl vs. Oregon when he went stumblin fumblin and threw it back'erds).

I think the biggest concern is who their backup QB is. I mean we all know that every single backup QB that has ever played against UT just destroys us. I mean remember Treon Harris? Man he absolutely lit up our defense and beat the living crap out of us.

We have to be very, very scared of VT and especially their backup QB.

Whatever the Vols supposed ranking, we frankly did not look "that good" last week so I'm crossing my fingers...

Va Tech is better than App St and it wont be much of an argument. At the end of the season even if Va Tech is 6-6 and App St only loses to UT and Miami, one could still make the argument that they didn't play anybody. How good would Va Tech be in that conference? Unknown.

I'm tired of our fans trying to play up an overmatched App St team as an excuse for the absolutely abyssmal performance that our entire team (coaches especially) put on in week one. It is what it is, we probably should have been beaten but pulled at a W. If we were to win out that near loss wouldn't even matter. IF! If they continue to play like that, however, we will suffer an extremely disappointing season.

You're just too rational for a Vol fan. I'm on to you.

I watched both games. Well, highlights of the Virginia Tech game. Most polls listed past 25 have Virginia Tech ahead of App State although App State get one point in the Coaches Poll (probably good ole Butch). Virginia Tech would/should recruit better and they have a Fuente now on their staff. It's subjective. And as I mentioned some posts back I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong on this one. But until shown otherwise, that's what I base it on.

Wow! This stuff is great! Thought VT had some delusional fans, but this Big Orange BS is just WAY too much. I can't even guess what you'd be spouting about ASU if their kicker had made his extra point last week! HAHAHAHA! Good thing we have "a Fuente" now to help us maintain some semblance of recruiting mojo when going head to head with peer schools like Appalachian State. Of course, as you and most reasonable college football fans know, comparing VT to Appalachian State football truly is subjective!

Last week VT'S DEFENSE intercepted 3 PASSES and recovered a fumble. Their QB threw 4 TDs with NO ints. Could easily be a VT victory, knocking UT out of the top 25, and making a 7/5 season very likely.:banghead2::banghead2::vava::stop::stop::realmad::realmad::realmad::realmad:GO BIG ORANGE.

They played a 6-6 FCS evangelical directional school, calm down.

They had a win that was not that impressive against a mid-level FCS school.

After actually watching the game, I can honestly say that I am not worried.
