Overrated...come on..we haven't been ranked in a few years. After Saturday..we will be ranked and can hold on to the Tennessee victory for a while!:)

True sentiments from a lot of Hokie fan's. Not sold on the offense yet. I also expect the Vol's to win, BUT hope for VT to win. They are very capable! Matuapuaka played a good, solid game on Saturday. The new linebacker, Edmunds is the real deal though..just young.

I think Mizzou or Vandy would beat them too. I watched Mizzou, and they found something at the end of the West Va game. Vandys run game and defense would be enough.

It'll be nice to win in front of all those people.

Remember in 2013 when AU and Malzhan were running for 350+ on every team they played? Then teams spent all off season going over the film and their offense has looked worse and worse since. Last year was our "AU 2013" but without the breaks in the big games. I wonder if the teams we play have learned how to stop our running game the same way they did AU.

It could be viewed as a better win depending on a few things. Not likely perhaps, but possible.

A. If they beat Miami
B. VT finishes with a losing record ( I don't think this happens)

Welcome to the world of logic we live with daily. Don't take it personal, somebody will rationalize how Bama isn't that good by the third Saturday in October. SEC is good at football, SEC fans not so much.

Well Appy State is no James Madison, but they seem to be a pretty decent team.

I guess I just saw a different game. Certainly didn't come away as impressed with App St as most Tenn fans appear to be. I also didn't expect Tenn fans proclaiming it to be a "better win than VT" especially since the VT game is yet to be played.

Hope us lil ol Hokies can make it a game Sat night!

I mean it's not that crazy of a thing. CBS polls have ASU ranked 39th compared to VT at 50. I think you're just looking at the name alone.

Edit- Not saying you are wrong but it's not like an absurd opinion by any stretch

I watched both games. Well, highlights of the Virginia Tech game. Most polls listed past 25 have Virginia Tech ahead of App State although App State get one point in the Coaches Poll (probably good ole Butch). Virginia Tech would/should recruit better and they have a Fuente now on their staff. It's subjective. And as I mentioned some posts back I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong on this one. But until shown otherwise, that's what I base it on.

Why is it so hard to believe Appy State is a good team? Is it just because their in the Sun Belt? Everyone used to think the same about Boise state in the beginning. We need teams like Appy State bringing some magic to college football. Lord know all the money grabbers at the top are trying to ruin the sport.
