Any chance Currie tries to keep him on as HC next year? He seemed to be singing his praises loudly at the presser. I'm just so set up for disappointment after the last decade it honestly would not surprise me. Would be a lukewarm hire with lukewarm justification. "Give him a chance and find another guy in three years" type deal. Hope it doesn't happen, but it could.

We will applaud and sincerely thank him for the victories then promptly hire the next head coach.

this is exactly why they couldn't fire Butch after Florida, South Carolina, or Kentucky. If for some reason we lucked into a run the "maybe we should hire Hoke stuff would start." He seems to be a good guy and good overall coach, but we're going for bigger fish.

IF Hoke were to win three games with this depleted team, I think it would warrant him being considered. That said he isn't beating LSU. I just want to see us competitive and disciplined for once this year.
