Since Phillip Fulmer took over as Head Coach for the Vols for a full season in 1993... the Vols have either been ranked in the top 10 (8 times) or not ranked at all (3 times) leading up to the Vanderbilt/Kentucky games.... with the exception of this season.

With a similar record to other seasons with a top 10 ranking.... and a huge win on the road over Georgia.... the Vols are ranked 15th.... now its clear why the Vols feel as though they are getting no respect in the polls.

The Vols ranking leading up to the Vanderbilt/Kentucky games...
Year -- Rank (Record)
2004 -- 15 (7-2)
-------------------
2003 -- 9 (8-2)
2002 -- NR (6-4)
2001 -- 6 (7-1)
2000 -- NR (6-3)
1999 -- 7 (7-2)
1998 -- 1 (9-0)
1997 -- 5 (8-1)
1996 -- 9 (7-2)
1995 -- 4 (8-1)
1994 -- NR (5-4)
1993 -- 7 (7-1-1)

maybe CPF should start dressing on gameday in a rodney dangerfield suit

That's funny. I was thinking just the other day about how Fulmer is like Rodney Dangerfield.
